MovieHole – The HoleCast Episode 002

So I gotta shout out the homie Clint from MovieHole for the love on their latest HoleCast Episode 002.

With over 100K downloads for their first episode, there’s no doubt that the following eps will kill it too. The guys played the Cee & Bekah single, ‘Ain’t No Mountain’, which features Notion, from ‘The Soul Movement Originals’ which drops September 11th, and ‘Livin’ This Life’, which is another Cee & Bekah cut with Theology3.

Class A – So Bad (video)

One thing that the game is missing is more dope female MCs, particularly in Australia. The homegirl Class A has been killin’ the live scene lately, opening for a gang of internationals and rockin’ at damn near every Hip Hop gig over the last 6 months.

Miss A’s solo album ‘Me, Me, Me & Him: The Secret Life of a Receptionist’ drops October 1st and the lead single, ‘So Bad’, is a certified heater. Check the video after the jump and holla at the girl on Twitter!

Model Feature – Lauren Hoyte

Yet another model feature…they’re becoming more and more regular these days, and the quality is getting better every time.

Miss Lauren Hoyte hit us up, and we were so very glad that she did. This stunning young lady already has an extremely impressive resume, and her hustle and grind is taking her on the path to stardom. Check out our interview after the jump…

Cee: What’s your name?
Lauren: Lauren Hoyte.

Cee: Where are you from?
Lauren: My ethnicity is Trinidadian however I am from New Jersey.

Cee: How many years have you been modeling?
Lauren: I’ve been modeling on a consistent basis for about 2 years.

Cee: What are the misconceptions people commonly have about models that are untrue?
Lauren: That models are not intelligent..SO NOT TRUE! Many of us have brains too, not just beauty!

Cee: What shows, videos, magazines, etc. have you been featured in?
Lauren: Hair magazines like Hype Hair, Braids & Beauty, and Urban book cover, The Source Magazine, TV/Video- All My Children, “Law & Order”, “Ugly Betty”, MTV and FUSE TV and a featured guest on a special 2-day episode on the Tyra Banks Show discussing Women & Body Image; Small roles on Films like Duplicity starring Julia Roberts, Clive Owen and others, Brooklyn’s Finest starring Wesley Snipes and Notorious. Cee: Can you describe the grind of a model trying to break into the industry?
Lauren: You have to be able to handle criticism and rejection and realize that opportunities won’t come along and fall into your lap. You have to stay motivated to go out there and get it!

Cee: Any words for the ladies out there that have aspirations of entering the modeling industry?
Lauren: Stay consistent and although it sounds cliché, never give up on your dreams! Strive to be your best because I strongly believe that Dreams and Determination are really a POWERFUL combination!

Cee: What’s your plans from here?
Lauren: You can look for me in magazines, advertising campaigns for clothing or cosmetics, TV commercials, pilots and working toward ultimately a billboard ad. Also I am currently working with an acting coach to prepare for any upcoming acting opportunities ahead, since I am currently SAG-eligible and will be joining SAG soon.

Mike Posner – Drug Dealer Girl starring Rosa Acosta (video)

The homie Iyae only put me onto Mike’s stuff (pause) the other week, so when he shot me this video, I was impressed. Not only coz one of the hottest (and thickest) models going around today, Rosa Acosta, is all up in it, but coz it was a genuine viral video that make some noise.

Great tune, dope video, fresh concept, hot model. WIN for Mr Posner.

Vince Harder – Alone No More feat K. One (video)

I dunno why I haven’t heard of this dude before. I did the old YouTube search and Vince has worked with the best of the best in NZ. His voice is immaculate; I’m still yet to check out his older material, but I stumbled across this great new video in my Facebook feed as my personal favourite of The Movement Fam Model Features to date, Shushila Takao, is featured prominently. She is ridiculous, on the real. Like how I picture the wifey. Amazing.

Anyway, I’ll stop drooling now…the song is brilliant, and the video is well shot. Check it out.

Angus & Julia Stone – Hold On (video)

I’m a huge fan of old Angus and Julia, so I was stoked to hear they’d dropped another video from their latest, immaculate album ‘Down The Way’ in ‘Hold On’. This is a cool ass clip. Looks awesome in HD. Can’t wait to see these guys in Melbourne before we jet.

What Cee be on… James Morrison

I cannot believe I only just got put onto this dude (pause), even though he featured on one of my favourite songs off Jason Mraz’s last album, ‘Details In The Fabric’.

James Morrison is an incredibly soulful white dude from the UK, and his music is nothing short of sublime.

Check the below two joints, the first off his debut ‘Undiscovered’ and the second from his latest album ‘Songs For You, Truths For Me’.
