Hezekiah and Talib Kweli live @ Brooklyn Bowl (video)
The big homie Hezekiah killed a show out at the BK Bowl with Talib Kweli recently…here’s some dope footage.
The Hobbit – Behind The Scenes Part 1 (video)
On some nerd shit, I’ve always been a huge fan of The Lord Of The Rings books, so the movies were crack to me. I genuinely am vibed as hell for The Hobbit, and Peter Jackson recently posted the first video blog as they begin shooting…

Adam Bomb – My People (video)
As I was checking Adam Bomb‘s Twitter page, I came across this video. I really fuck with this tune. Dope video too. Peep the press release and visuals after the jizump…
“My Full Timers, Part Timers, 9 to 5′ers, All Nighters, Never let em make you think that you’re second class MY PEOPLE!”
- Adam Bomb
Toronto, Ont.
In every job there is honour, no matter how grand or menial the task. Some employers will attempt to twist this concept into their own desired outcomes and needs, but as a general thought this rings true for millions of people who undertake their daily work each day, all year round, unfailingly. With his Brand New release ‘My People’, Toronto based emcee and Freedom Writers/Empire member Adam Bomb celebrates the resilience, dedication and heart possesed by workers in all walks of life. From the ticket takers in movie theatre lobbies to the nurses in overcrowded hospitals, everyone is on a path to progression even if their current job is just a stepping stone to greater things.
As an emcee, a job that hordes of aspiring artists apply for each year, there are certain roles and responsibilities one must fulfill. Being original, creative and fearless top that list and Adam Bomb has consistently raised the bar with unbelievable flows, infectious hooks and thought provoking content for the masses. Having the support of your peers is also a qualification and with a growing list of notables including Canadian Hip Hop legend Maestro Fresh Wes, FLOW 93.5fm radio host Mastermind and Polaris prize nominee D Sisive onboard, Bomb is reaching new heights wih each new endeavour. Lastly and most importantly, an emcee must have the confidence and trust of THE PEOPLE and citing the International success of Bombs’ latest releases ‘Wasted Talent’ and ‘Make Good Music’ (youtube hits in the tens of thousands) its clear that the 5th letter fam and Freedom Writers collective all star Adam Bomb is a Full Time, fully certified representative of THE PEOPLE!
Adam Bomb’s newly minted WASTED TALENT cd is now available for purchase featuring some of ‘the legend’s’ most memorable tracks such as ‘The balance’ produced by Platinum selling beatsmith 40 (Drake, Sade, Jay Z) and the crowd favourite ‘Wasted Talent’ banged out by fellow Freedom Writers collaborator Big Sproxx of Proletarian music. Fresh off of the jam packed release party in Toronto, Adam Bomb is continuing work on his next solo project and steadily penning classics for the debut LP of critically acclaimed Toronto Hip Hop collective, the Freedom Writers. Possessing a CEO flow with a hard hat mentality, it’s not hard to see why Adam Bomb is one of the most sought after artists in Canadian Hip Hop. The people have spoken.
Adam Bomb – Wasted Talent (video)
TO vet Adam Bomb is back with the visual for his first single from his album of the same name, ‘Wasted Talent’. Check the press release and video after the jump…
The one and only Adam Bomb, renowned Emcee and original member of the Empire crew, delivers a scorching one verse commentary on the state of the game and his ever evolving position in it. Never one to stand still, Adam Bomb matches the twists and turns in his complex rhyme patterns with similar shifts in his World view and state of consciousness. The deadly clean up hitter on the recent FREEDOM WRITERS smash buzz release ‘Wake Up’(DJ Eclipse RIOC, DJ Kingstun Main Ingredient show, DJ Sage Urban Renewal Project) Adam Bomb is ensuring that with every verse he laces and track he blesses, his talent is displayed to the fullest! Famous for his long list of quotables and seemingly never ending catalogue of features (Elzhi, Rich Kidd, Tona) Bomb has traded verses with the best Emcees across the country while flattening countless productions from Internationally respected beat makers such as Soundsmith, Tone Mason, 40 and Big Sproxx.
‘Wasted Talent’ boasts clever, unrelenting flows matched with a hard driving rhythm from Freedom Writers colleague and producer Big Sproxx (Kardinal Offishall, TRA, Mathematik) who crafted the visual effects as well. This is the latest in an upcoming assault of diverse, powerful and out of the box music from the FREEDOM WRITERS collective (Frankie Payne, Math, Tona, Theo3, Progress, Adam Bomb, Big Sproxx). The city is buzzing, the country is anticipating and the World is soon to witness the birth of an exciting and unified movement of Toronto’s biggest and brightest talents! It’s clear there’s no time for wasted talent.
Jill Scott – Shame (feat. Eve & The A Group) (video)
I heart Jilly. Here is the visuals for the new single ‘Shame’ featuring Eve and The A Group from her upcoming album ‘The Light Of The Sun’. Eve looks spankin’, and Jilly is amazing as usual. Philly was well represented with Black Thought even rockin’ some illness at the beginning. What y’all think?
Emilio Rojas – Right To Stay / Close To Me (video)
Straight up, Emilio is my favourite MC. Dude is fucking ridiculous. So clearly I’m a bit behind here, and haven’t blogged dude’s last two visuals for tunes from his latest tape, ‘Life Without Shame’. Both are directed by Court Dunn, who is crazy with it.
‘Right To Stay’ is a moving and disturbing story of what really happens with many immigrants to the US; while ‘Close To Me’ is a relationship tale that most of y’all can relate to.
I’m a huge fan, can’t say enough. Peep.
Tokyo Cigar – Broken Wings (video)
The big homie Tokyo Cigar done dropped his first video (correct me if I’m wrong, fam) for the tune ‘Broken Wings’. This is some dope shit, really sick to see some visuals from one of the most prolific cats I know.

The Movement Fam – Smooth It Out (single)
Man, my blog game is weak right now. My bad. Life is slowly starting to balance out.
So after close to two years of getting this thing together, we are announcing the release of a new single from The Movement Fam! ‘Smooth It Out’ is an ode to everything 420; essentially a soul’d out smokers anthem. The tune is produced by VA’s Krohme, who has worked with the likes of Ras Kass (The Game dis), Shyhiem, Obie Trice, MF Grimm, Ill Bill, Kool G Rap, Royce Da 5’9″, Cappadonna, Killah Priest and more.
The full song, along with the acapella and instrumental for any folks out there who want to remix the cut, is available now on iTunes (Zune too)! Head over, take a listen and cop the tune!
Shouts to Krohme for rocking with us on this, and big ups to all the folks who copped the single already, which seems to be getting a great response with little to no promotion, so we’re vibed.
