Even though I fucks with the skinnies, I’m lovin’ the parodies of these shits. This joint right here is GOLD. Peep game.
'Gear'
Nat-2 x WuWear – the WuTang Brand bookbag 2.0
We don’t usually post too much stuff about gear and whatnot on here, but I caught this today and it looks pretty sweet. Feelin’ the oversized zipper, dunno about the thongs (flip flops) though.
Kanye & his Louis Vuitton kicks…. What y’all think??
Sneaker pimps, what do y’all think of this collabo with LV & ‘Ye? I personally thought WTF on first sight, but its a retro “Back to the Future” Reebok look I reckon… and at $600+ beans too, I’m not sure how many consumers gon’ dig that. I certainly don’t. I can imagine him making a packet off this lil venture either way!

Gno brand is back!
The homies at Gno brand are back. Y’all might remember these cats from January this year when the brand was launched; their unique designs got a fair bit of attention. Well, I just got work of a fresh batch of new designs, so of course we gots to spread the word! Peep:
Animal Farm: “Animal Farm” is a novel by George Orwell about the Bolshevik revolutionaries that addresses not only the corruption of the revolution by its leaders but also how wickedness, ignorance, and greed can destroy any possibility of a Utopia. Throughout the novel the idea is stated that no matter how equal a society begins, the smarter, richer, or more powerful will eventually rise to the top. The rules of Animal Farm are changed many times throughout the story, each time better benefiting the leaders, until finally one rule replaces all: All Animals Are Equal. But Some Animals Are More Equal Than Others.
Spit Out: This design was inspired by Danger Doom’s “Sofa King” off The Mouse and the Mask which was in turn inspired by Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim. The design speaks for itself! This shirt is dope and if anyone tells you otherwise, tell them to repeat after me, “I am…Sofa King…We Todd Ed”.
Grey Matter (Ladies): Due to popular demand, our successful “Grey Matter” design is now on baby doll tees! This design was influenced by Deltron 3030′s “A Brymar College Course”. Deltron 3030 is a favorite here at Gno and a tribute had to be paid to such a classic. The message is to “get creative” by means of upgrading the most powerful computer known to man – the brain. On the back, the text reads “Cause One Day It May Matter”.
Nike Dunk Low Premium "Teen Wolf"
I like Dunks.
I was never one to care too much about the kicks I wear, and although I own some colourful pairs I’ve never gone too crazy with it.
Well… if I ever was going to get crazy with it, these would be the shoes I would start with.
This particular pair of Dunk Low Premium kicks takes its inspiration from the glorious 80′s movie that you just know you watched if you grew up in that era. That movie is Teen Wolf, from back when Michael J Fox was a teen heartthrob actor with his whole life in front of him.
Check these out…

Apparently there were only 72 pairs released worldwide, so if you want these hit up osneaker. They have a few smaller sizes left at the time of this post.
Good luck.
The Louis Vuitton is Official
Aight, we’ve heard talk about these joints for a hot minute now, but it looks like we finally have official pics of the Kanye West Louis Vuitton collab, and a release date – June 2009. Click any image for more info.
The ‘Colourways‘ come in black, red and white (couldn’t get a pic of the white ones). Though the brown leather versions (below) are apparently not available as yet – they might have been ‘Yeezy customs.
I kinda dig ‘em to be honest. They definitely have that Hip Hop/Air Force 1 flavour to them. On the blog where I found ‘em, it mentioned that the back of the kicks has a ‘back wing’ that stops your jeans dragging on the ground or getting caught up in the shoes. Which is amazing, I hate it when that happens. I wonder how much they’ll be?
Also, these two other joints below were on the blog too. Dunno if they’re Kanye kicks or just other random Louis shoes, but they’re kinda fly, except for the whole pink thing.
And finally, here’s a little video of Kanye in Paris talking about the kicks and how his swagger is sitting on a hundred thousand trillion.
Barack Runs DC
Yup, didn’t take ‘em long. Peep these shirts. I love these politically inspired joints (peep the Lupe Fiasco show pics coming up later today), and this one is freshhhhhhhhhh.
Peep the official Run DC online store.
Nike Air Force 1 – Black History Month
“I make black history every day, I don’t need a month” Kanye West from ‘Brand New’

Man, I’m a fiend for Air Force 1′s. I’ve never been a sneaker head really, but these kicks were the ones that got me at least to stay on my kick game. So when I saw these little babies on the Sneakerfiles blog, I had to post about ‘em. I won’t even re-write this stuff, but peep:
Nike commemorates Black History Month 2009 with this Air Force 1 designed with the colors black, green and red. The Air Force 1 was also last years base model which was developed for the month of February. This years model features a black base highlighted with red and green lining and accents, and what appears to be a translucent sole possibly revealing writing or graphics. Other details include a black heel pattern and special tongue label. Lastly, the Black History Month Air Force 1 will come in a black bag with a quote which can be read in text after the jump. Stay posted for specific release date.
“100 years came and another 100 past
little did they know, nothing would forever last
the land they knew stood for “liberty and justice for all”
however, “we the people” didn’t include them at all
words on paper held no weight
it was time for judicial battle at the mahogany gate
they moved left and then shifted right
they fought for freedom keeping equality in sight
laws were challenged and changes were made
giving us the right to make the grade
thanks to those who fought the fight
moving the darkness and bringing light”
Gno Shit?
Twitter is so dope. So I stumbled across this fresh, up and coming street wear brand, Gno today. Checked out the website and just had to blog about it.
So far, Gno is producing three tees that all contain strong themes and often political message – which is unbelievably refreshing. Check out the images below (click on the pics to be taken to the website), and rather than me writing about it, check the product descriptions, which sum each tee up perfect.
An illustration based on the classic “I Used to Love H.E.R.” by Common. In the song, Common makes an analogy comparing the degradation of a woman with the deterioration of hip hop music after its commercial success forced it into the mainstream.
This is an illustration of a young girl yet to be negatively-influenced by the images we see through certain forms of media everyday. The young girl is seen reading a book while media heads hover over her shoulder desperately trying to gain her attention with flashy images of video vixens and the likes.
Check ‘em out, and we’ll be sure to keep y’all posted on future developments from Gno.
