Model Feature: Robyn Kelly

For the final post for 2010, we decided to hit y’all with some eye candy. Don’t ever say we don’t do nothing for you.

We’d like to welcome back Miss Robyn Kelly, who we featured back in November 2009. Check out the new flicks and see what she’s been up to.

And HAPPY NEW YEAR, folks! See y’all in 2011…

Cee: Welcome back! So what’s been happening since we spoke to you last?
Robyn: Well I’ve traveled to South Africa, and pretty much been doing more modeling shoots and promoting myself out there.

Robyn Kelly

Cee: Loving the new shots. Are they all from the one shoot? Who was involved? What inspired the backdrops?
Robyn: No, they are all different shoots. The photographer was Daryl Lynch and I’m a biker so we decided to do the theme of bikes etc. It’s actually coming out as a calendar for 2011.

Robyn Kelly

Cee: Who have you been working with lately?
Robyn: Several photographers and artists around Melbourne and Texas.

Cee: Do you have any new shoots planned in the near future?
Robyn: Yes, I sure do. I am getting jobs offered to me all the time. The next one I have is going to be sort of a cathedral bad girl sort of theme. Can’t wait for that one to come out.

Robyn Kelly

Cee: Have you been working on any other projects aside from the modeling?
Robyn: Yes, I have also been invited to do a TV series which is in progress of arranging at the moment.

Robyn Kelly

Cee: We noticed you took a trip back home to South Africa recently. How was that? Did you fit any shoots in while you were over there?
Robyn: No, it was just a holiday off. I got to play soccer with cheetahs and ride elephants. You can’t do modeling all the time, sometimes, you need to get a big break, relax, so you can return to modeling, refreshed and ready to work!

Robyn Kelly

Cee: What are the plans from here?
Robyn: Well basically, to explore more avenues within modeling and getting out into the social scene to promote myself as a model. There is the series coming up and I have a lot of shoots lined up.

Robyn Kelly

Cee: One more time, tell the people where they can find you!
Robyn: I’m on all sorts of websites, under Starnow, Promolife, Model Mayhem, Zoo Weekly and of course Facebook so people can check me out on there.

Model Feature: Kimberley Porter

Ahhh, love a good model feature.

Now, I gotta say that this young lady is absolutely incredible. I have the honour of calling her my friend now, and not only is she absolutely stunning, she is one of the strongest people I know and also one of the most intelligent. We held off doing this feature until Kim had her latest shoot so we could hit y’all with the newest flicks possible. Take it away…

Cee: What’s your name?
Kim: Kimberley Grace Porter!

Cee: Where are you from?
Kim: Born and Bred in Melbourne, Australia. My background is a mish mash of English, Irish, Samoan, Chinese, Swiss, Scottish… I’m all mixed up in more ways than one. Haha!

Cee: How many years have you been modeling?
Kim: I started modeling when I was about 16 years old when I entered a modeling competition at a local shopping centre and came in 3rd place.

Cee: What are the misconceptions people commonly have about models that are untrue?
Kim: That modeling is our main purpose in life! It’s more often than not just a little something on the side while pursuing other areas of interest. Unless you’re Jennifer Hawkins, it’s pretty difficult to earn a living from modeling alone. Another misconception is that models starve themselves or become bulimic to stay thin, which isn’t always true. Usually it’s a diet of cigarettes, lettuce, and diet pills that does the trick! (jk)

Cee: What else do you get up to when not modeling?
Kim: I love to read and am a budding writer. Writing has always come very naturally to me, I am definitely a ‘words’ person. All things creative give me a huge buzz. Music is a big love, as is art and alternative culture. I am working on a few writing projects at the moment, I especially love the horror and thriller genres. Am stoked to see the new Harry Potter!

Cee: What shows, videos, magazines, etc. have you been featured in?
Kim: Girlfriend magazine, Modern Bride, Advertorial for Pantene, TV commercials for Sprite, Skittles, Libra, and Channel V and lots of different Fashion Parades in Melbourne and Sydney just to name a few.

Cee: What photographers have you worked with?
Kim: Phillip Riches, Christian Wilde, Jon Lee, and the amazing and incredibly cool chick Anita Frank who did my newest shots you see here.

Cee: What photographers would you like to work with?
Kim: It’s a bit of a stretch – but the famous Patrick Demarchelier. I’ve also recently seen the work of Lucia Ondrusova which is just stunning.

Cee: Can you describe the grind of a model trying to break into the industry?
Kim: Once you get representation by a good agency, the hard work really starts. Castings take up a lot of your time, stomping the streets of Melbourne rain, hail or shine with your portfolio under arm, and then you may only get one job out of 10-15 auditions or castings you go to. You have to be realistic about what you’re expecting in terms of earning a living, and definitely have a second job and keep your options open. Even if you do really well, eventually you’re going to want to do something that is a bit more stimulating for the mind. So don’t quit school or uni.

Cee: Any words for the ladies out there that have aspirations of entering the modeling industry?
Kim: Have a crack at it – But don’t let it rule your life. Also, long shoots can be really really boring and most jobs involve a lot of waiting around – so you have to be able to entertain yourself in your own mind… A touch of insanity is a definitely required.

Cee: What are your plans from here?
Kim: I’d really like to get into Presenting and Acting. I can cry on cue which comes in very handy ;)

Oh we back! Our model grind has been a bit more vicious of late, as we gear up for the re-launch of TheMovementFam.com with a brand new layout, artist pages, and all that good stuff.

So as per how most of my model discoveries happen, I was trawling Facebook at work (it’s kinda part of my job lol) and I stumbled upon one of the loveliest young ladies I’ve seen in a while, Miss Shushila Takao. Model Feature – Jenafer Lynn Williams

It’s been a minute since our last model feature. My apologies, we been slackin’.

This is the first time we’ve ever invited a model back for a second chat and a fresh bunch of pics; so Miss Jena is a special one. Our favourite American residing Down Under stopped by for another chat, and delivered a brand new smokin’ set of flicks exclusively for the readers of TheMovementFam.com

Cee: Hey Jena, it’s been over a year since we saw you last. What’s been happening?
Jena: Still in Australia..(sigh)!

Cee: What sort of shoots have you been doing recently?
Jena: Alot of lingerie work…soon to be moving into swimwear, I hope, if I can stay in shape.

 Jenafer Lynn Williams

Cee: Have you managed to work with any of the photographers you mentioned last time?
Jena: I doubt that would ever happen, this is just a paycheck for me, nothing more.

Cee: You were doing yoga and lingerie modelling, have you been doing much of that? Are you still enjoying that line of work?
Jena: Still doing all of that, that’s the only thing I do enjoy doing. Lingerie is fun! And I keep all of it, for all you single men…

Jenafer Lynn Williams

Cee: Tell us about the new photos we have here.
Jena: It’s just a mix of my favorites. All genres. But I will let you in on a secret that I will be doing a very well known American Mag that most of you wouldn’t think I would do…an AUS version..but still the same mag. You are in for a bare all treat :D

Cee: Have you had any memorable experiences with your modelling in the past year?
Jena: Recently doing my 2nd shoot with Zoo…always a blast with their crew. Memorable almost baring all in front of everyone!

Jenafer Lynn Williams

Cee: I heard word that you might be trying out for the Dallas Desire in the Lingerie Football League…
Jena: ha ha ha..did you? Well, I do plan on trying out and that’s all I can do. Would you come watch me? I would surely NOT play nice!

Cee: So you’re an American model living in Australia. Has the experience out here been different from your experiences at home?
Jena: Besides everyone hating me, and the slang…not really. I love Australia but I am ready to be home. I miss the gentlemen.

Jenafer Lynn Williams

Cee: You’re heading back to the US later this year; do you plan to continue the modelling?
Jena: I don’t think so. Unless I need money. I want to focus on my charity work.

Cee: What’s next for you?
Jena: A year volunteering in Tanzania..I hope!

Jenafer Lynn Williams

Cee: You’re the first model we’ve had back for a second time around, so thank you! :)
Jena: WOW..I don’t know who to thank..LOL. Anything for the Movement Fam. I love you guys. xx

This week I am proud to present the beautiful Ms. Eboni Sade coming reppin Jersey City, NJ like no other. Luckily, I was able to catch with Ms. Sade during one of her rare free moments. I will tell you this don’t be shocked if see Ms. Sade on television and also in some of your favorite magazines.

Check the interview below.

DJ Grain: What’s your name?
Eboni: My name is Eboni Sade.

DJ Grain: Where are you from?
Eboni: I am originally from Jersey City, NJ. But I spend time between NJ, NY, and DC.

Eboni: I’ve been modeling for approximately 2 1/2 years now.

DJ Grain: What are the misconceptions people commonly have about models that are untrue?
Eboni: One of the misconceptions people commonly have about models is probably that we are not people. Models are human, we deal with insecurities, triumphs and setbacks like anyone else; heartbreak included.

DJ Grain: What shows, videos, magazines, etc. have you been featured in?
Eboni: Most recent, I am in the Spring 2010 Harley Davidson Catalog. I’ve also done Beeing Clothing catalog, Hype Hair, HIV Awareness Print Ad, Jazmine Sullivan’s “I Need U Bad” video and was a featured model at the Make-Up Show NYC 2008 for Big Girl Cosmetics.

DJ Grain: What photographers have you worked with? Some of the photographers that I’ve worked with include Jerris Madison, Dallas J. Logan, Itaysha Jordan, and E. Hinn
Eboni: What photographers would you like to work with? I’ve always wanted to work with Bruce Talbot, Maya Guez, and Matthew Jordan Smith.

DJ Grain: Can you describe the grind of a model trying to break into the industry?
Eboni: It is a continuous, never-ending grind. It consists of constantly updating your portfolio and promoting yourself. It involves being told “No” and coming back a few months later, bigger and better. As with anything, breaking into the modeling industry involves progression and perfecting your craft.

DJ Grain: Any words for the ladies out there that have aspirations of entering the modeling industry?
Eboni: Research. Know Your Market. Stay Aware… Research the industry; especially those looking for agency representation. Know your market; are you a commercial, high fashion, or glamour model? And Stay Aware; be mindful that there are scams and scam artists out there. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

DJ Grain: How can people contact you for booking?
Eboni: eboni.sade@gmail.com.
