What it does y’all?

In 2012, Cee released his debut solo mixtape series entitled ‘The Indie Experiment’, where he carefully selected some of his favourite songs from a diverse range of genres – indie rock, alternative, metal, folk, dubstep, rock, electro – and added his raps to the gaps in the tunes, creating a whole new piece of music. The addition of Hip Hop elements truly resonated with a lot of people, and this is why we’re here right now.

Due to the fantastic response from Cee’s music video for ‘Comin’ Home’, from ‘The Indie Experiment Volume 1′ project, The Movement Fam decided to completely remix and remaster the entire series and rerelease the three mixtapes with a new, bigger sound, thanks to Notion‘s amazing engineering work.

The original series was released on April 10th, June 10th and August 10th respectively. May 10th marks 13 months to the day the original volume debuted, and being that 13 is Cee‘s favourite number, it only made sense to do it today.

‘The Indie Experiment: Remixed & Remastered’ will be live tonight, Thursday May 9th at midnight Eastern Standard Time in Canada/USA, and 2pm Australian Eastern Standard Time on Friday May 10th, via Cee’s Bandcamp page.

Is it warming up where y’all are at? Coz Montreal isn’t really playing ball with the whole Spring thing. So TMF felt we should heat it up a bit and bring back the summer vibes courtesy of Cee‘s latest music video.

‘Comin’ Home‘ was shot in locations around Toronto in the summer of 2012 with Dave Dunville and J Mitchel Reed. The track is lifted from Cee’s ‘The Indie Experiment Volume 1′ mixtape, as his ode to both his homes (Melbourne and Toronto) over City & Colour’s haunting gem of a tune.

Cee speaks on his feelings after selling everything he owned to move to Canada to pursue his dreams with his music. Much love to Josh Telfer, Clem Ryan, Notion and of course Tiffany Alexis for all their help with the filming of the video, and huge props to editor Andrew Howart for putting it all together.

We decided to drop the video on the eve of Cee‘s birthday, so we hope y’all can help him celebrate (today!)!

So on March 15th, 2011, myself (Cee), Notion and Bekah (as The Movement Fam at the time) filmed our first music video for the tune ‘Ain’t No Mountain’, from Cee & Bekah’s ‘The Soul Movement Originals’ album. After constant setbacks and delays, last year I managed to retrieve the footage from the cameraman, and this year I finally found an editor to put it all together for us.

And even though this tune is from an older project and the video was delayed, the message and the song itself hasn’t dated a bit. We feel it’s only right that on the two year anniversary of shooting the video, we release it for y’all.

All in all, this came out much better than we expected. We have give a huge shout out to editor Andrew Howarth for dedicating his time and energy into putting this video (along with a bunch of future ones) together for us to the best of his ability, given what he had to work with. It’s truly appreciated, and we hope that y’all dig it too.

The video will be live on Thursday March 14th at midnight Eastern Standard Time in Canada/USA, and 3pm Australian Eastern Standard Time on Friday March 15th, on both our YouTube and Vimeo channels. On Wednesday August 15th, I finally dropped my debut music video as a solo artist. Made in conjunction with the folks at Horse Bliss, we knocked out the video for my first solo cut ‘Pot Of Gold‘ in a few hours in Toronto, Canada, and I’m stoked how dope it came out. We hit more than 400 views in like 5 days, which was amazing. Thanks to everyone who made this happen – Dave Dunville, Josh Telfer, Notion, Tiffany Alexis, Iskander Ben Amor, Eric, Shauna, Karsten and the rest of the crew.

Once again, my blog game done slipped. Gonna step it back up now though.

So here’s the first official video from the Shady and Nickel collab album, Bad Meets Evil. I fucks with it. Kinda corny for Royce but I guess he’s gotta get that money. Should be insane either way.

I ain’t even blogged about this yet, but we got another supergroup on our hands. Random Axe is Black Milk, Sean Price and Guilty Simpson, and the fellas done dropped a video for ‘The Hex’, their first single from their self-titled album. Shit is as you would expect from these cats. Keen as for the album.

The big homie Cyclops been knocked out yet another video from his ‘When Inspiration Hits‘ album. Dope. Peep game.

Y’all know we been fans of D-Dot since he was Con Psy. This is the latest video from ‘The Rose Tint‘, which drops on May 11th. And it’s a free album. Boss. Can’t wait.
