What up, folks? So the blog is (sorta) back in action. At least it doesn’t look like shit any more.
My boys are working on a new design for us right now, so hopefully we’ll have a fresh look in a few weeks.
That said, I’m about to do a quick update for all the shit we’ve released in the past couple months, starting with Notion…
April’s release was one of my faves ‘Parlayin’ featuring TruStylz. I even got one of Nosh‘s lines from this song tattooed on my chest. It’s that real.
May saw Nosh team up with TruStylz again, and the homie Infinite is on board this fuckin’ banger, ‘Triple Threat’. Gyeah.
And finally, this weekend just passed, Nosh dropped this banger over the Slaughterhouse cut ‘HammerDance’, featuring my damn self. Love this one, makes me wanna smash cunts.
Y’all might have noticed the lack of blog posts in the last week or so. That’s because we’ve been in Austin, Texas at SXSW, bitches. We barely had internet, plus with the whole attending panels/checking out a billion shows/drinking all day, there just wasn’t time, goddamnit.
So in the last fortnight, I’ve been at Canadian Music Week and SXSW and seen so many incredible shows, it’ll take me all day to write about it. Some of the highlights from CMW included: Shad, French reggae outfit Dub Inc, Eric Hutchinson and Janelle Monae. SXSW awesomeness came courtesy of folks like James Blake, City & Colour, Shad (I saw him like 3 times in a week(, Slaughterhouse, South Dakota soul rockers ShowBaby, Los Rakas, Collie Buddz (STRAAIIIIIIGHT!), Yuck, J. Cole, Melanie Fiona, the AMAZING Marsha Ambrosius, Miguel, Bliss N Eso, Blue King Brown (and having dinner with the band after, awesome people), Black Milk, Curren$y, and Big K.R.I.T. I actually nearly cried when I was denied entry to see Jamie Woon on the last night. He was at the top of my list and I don’t know why I left seeing him til the last day. I was genuinely gutted.
The most upsetting part was that Blu and Odd Future both sucked ass. Check out the video below from a vlogger we met at the panels, Anthony Fantano from The Needle Drop.com. Anthony and fellow vlogger Sami (and another dude, forgot the name, sorry guys) were the funnest bastards I’ve ever encountered on a panel, so it was both entertaining and informative. Plus Anthony was a real nice guy, so double win. But check his review of his SXSW experience below, particularly the Odd Future review, which is spot on.
We absolutely love Joell here at themovementfam.com, I found this on a real ill blog “watchmeyuu.com” I stumbled across from @listen2spec’s Twitter, and saw this crazy video for a ill story track. Peep this! Highschool puppy love shit at its finest. Peace to Slaughterhouse!

Wooooord up. Big ups to the homies DJ Hyphen and J. Moore out in Seattle, WA, and their Sunday Night Sound Sessions show on Kube 93fm. Myself, Notion and Bekah done rolled through the studio last year in September during our US radio trip, and the boys been had the biggest names in Hip Hop on the show. None other than Slaughterhouse – Royce, Joell and Joe (Crooked was recording with a Seattle artist) – came through and gave a great interview.
