Celebrating the better part of a decade between 2002 and 2011, 'Feature Game Vicious Volume 1' contains some of the highlights of Cee, Notion and other TMF artists' guest verses and solo tracks that appeared elsewhere - never all in one place, until now.

The video was shot in Montreal on a stormy day in July last year, with the Old Port, Quartier des Spectacles, Benelux Brewpub and annual summer fireworks contest providing the backdrop for Notion's moody anthem. With an uplifting narrative that preaches the virtues of enjoying your youth while you still can, this soulful banger lit up every venue on the tour. Shouts to the Fam Cee, Tiffany Alexis and iLLvibe on the cameo tip.
Ah yeah...brand new shit for November, right on time... This cut is from 'The Soul Movement Volume 2' sessions and even though it's more than 4 years old, it's still mad relevant. I got my dude Blest2 to rock with me; I love having other languages on my songs, and this cat - from Athens, Greece - flows the illest that I've heard in any language (aside from English). The classic Non Phixion beat brought out the best in everyone on this tune, and lyrically it nails where I'm at today. Enjoy.
Ah yeah. I STAYS late, pimp. This is my September joint. It was from the Cee & Bekah 'The Soul Movement Volume 3' sessions, but we ran out of room on the tape for it. I really wanted to find a way to get it out, so this seemed like the perfect fit. 'The College Dropout' is one of my favourite and most influential albums of all time, so I had to go in on this one.
Oh yeah, son! The kid Notion finally dropped his debut single 'Young & Crazy' on y'all! Produced by Sydney's P.R, this is one of my fave tunes we've ever released, straight up.
It's up on iTunes right now and it's only $0.99 - bargain, eh. Maybe $1.69 in Australia. Bastards stay jackin' up prices.
Sigh. Once again, my bad on the extremely delayed post... This is the first volume of a three volume series of mixtapes where I try to do something that I haven't heard anyone else do; rap over indie rock/electro/dubstep/alternative/folk/indie songs, while leaving the original tune intact and integrating my rhymes with the theme of the tracks. It's also my first ever solo mixtape release, so I hope y'all dig it.
This is getting ridiculous eh? We need a blogger lol. Aight, for March, Uncle Nosh and I came with some heaters.
Nosh laced another cut with TruStylz, this time 'It's On' is the banger in question. Huge. Grab it free from Notion's Bandcamp page.
The good homies You And Your Music, who we've performed with a number of times before we dipped from Oz, have worked for 9 months putting together a fantastic video for the remix version of their single 'Keep On Spinning', which details the daily struggles of the bicycle courier. It's picked up some steam amongst the two-wheeler crowd, and in anticipation for the launch next month, the boys dropped a teaser for the video. Peep game. Also, you can catch the boys live with The Fam's own Bekah at the St Kilda Festival in a couple weeks!
What up peeps? Got a message from my homie Purpose about his new mixtape and album... Download 'Don't I Know It' for free!
My album is finished and ready to roll but in the meantime I will drop 'If The City Had A Voice pt. 3' late November!
It will be a free release as pt. 2 was.
Features: Prime, Motive & Production by myself, Answer, Rob Shaker (WA), Cam Bluff (QLD).
Thanks, homie! Cop that joint, folks...
Wanna peep some new exclusive shit from The Fam? Recorded between 2009 and 2011, this joint 'No Keys' is produced by DaSoundDesigner outta Paris, France and mixed/mastered by Notion. Vibed for y'all to hear it!
Listen to No Keys from The Movement Fam!
Look out for more exclusives from The Fam on our Sound Cloud page...
June has already shaped up to be a big month for The Fam. My bad on slippin' on this but Notion, DJ Gentleman (making his TMF debut) and myself rocked a sick set at The Silver Dollar Room here in TO, and thanks to y'all, we pulled the biggest crowd of the night. It was stacks of fun, and hopefully we'll rock there again. And next Friday June 24th, we have a huge set as we're opening for the Track Avenue event at the legendary El Mocambo, with My Son The Hurricane and What She Said, along with March Fourth. It'll be a full line up - Notion, Cee, Bekah, DJ Gentleman and Pat Cole on the drums. Fucking vibed.
Hit me up for pre-sale tickets, otherwise we'll see y'all there! Flyers for both shows (along with FB event links) are after the jump...
Man, my blog game is weak right now. My bad. Life is slowly starting to balance out. So after close to two years of getting this thing together, we are announcing the release of a new single from The Movement Fam! 'Smooth It Out' is an ode to everything 420; essentially a soul'd out smokers anthem. The tune is produced by VA's Krohme, who has worked with the likes of Ras Kass (The Game dis), Shyhiem, Obie Trice, MF Grimm, Ill Bill, Kool G Rap, Royce Da 5'9", Cappadonna, Killah Priest and more.
The full song, along with the acapella and instrumental for any folks out there who want to remix the cut, is available now on iTunes (Zune too)! Head over, take a listen and cop the tune!
Shouts to Krohme for rocking with us on this, and big ups to all the folks who copped the single already, which seems to be getting a great response with little to no promotion, so we're vibed.
The big homie Purpose outta Adelaide is about to drop the follow up to the first volume of his 'If The City Had A Voice' series, and if the below track is any indication, this shit is gonna be a banger. Peep the press release below, and watch out for the album later this year. There might even be a feature from Bekah...
Leading up to ‘If The City Had a Voice II’, Purpose has released 5 projects, toured the country and continued to grow both in and out of the studio as he built up his resume. This mixtape serves as a pre-cursor to his debut solo album 'Where It Starts' DROPPING LATE 2011
It is a collaborative effort with DJ Hacksaw (Pagen Elypsis, Battlehoggs, Train of Thought) and is made up of both original music and a handful of remixes. This release paints an avid picture of a new era in Australian Hip-Hop music and offers a peak into the future of an artist that has laid a solid foundation both locally and internationally.
It features Pagen Elypsis, Kilenm (USA), Arkaic (UK), Motive & Prime and features production by Purpose, Eslev & Zarkov.
Aaaaaand we got it! This joint is finally here! After around 8 months from the start of the producer competition to the release of the final product on the same release date as the original, Kevin Nottingham.com's 'Mama Said Knock You Out' LL Cool J tribute album has dropped, and shit is fire! The line up is dope as hell; and y'all KNOW The Movement Fam are in effect, this time with the homie MegaRan aka Random on the remake of "Eat Em Up". I really enjoyed the tribute, and it was nothing short of a pleasure to be involved. So hit the jump and download this baby!

First up, no homo on the pic. It's all I could find on short notice. Give a mufucka a break. :)
It's been a hectic month or so in The Fam. Bekah has been in and out of hospital (she's all good now), and now the homie DJ Grain is stuck in the hospital in Atlanta with some other shit. Goddamn. Nothing is serious, he's all good, just wanted to shout my boy out and hope you get well soon brother!!
Send some love to Grain by commenting this post, at djgrain1@yahoo.com, or hit up his MySpace (links to your right).
And to top that off, I ain't have the net at home right now (fuck a phone company) so the blog posts are finna be held down by the rest of the crew, yet again. Goddamnit.
Bekah on Neighbours, Thursday March 13th 2009 from The Movement Fam on Vimeo.
That's right, the lady of The Movement Fam is getting her drama queen on. On Thursday 5th March, Bekah appeared as a featured extra on Neighbours (an Australia TV soap opera, based in Melbourne). She plays a nurse, and this was her second appearance on the show. Check the video, there's no audio as I couldn't get it working for some reason.
For those who wanna know, it's Ep 5639 [S 25 - Ep 034].
