Oz Hip Hop is poppin' hard right now (pause). Three dope MCs came together, put their solo stuff on hold for a second, formed a group and knocked out a fresh album that's making some serious noise. The fellas took the time to chat with me about the album and other assorted rap singer related nonsense. Peep game.
So here's the video to the first single of arguably the best MC in Australia - Mantra's 'I Hereby Stand', produced by M-Phazes.
Aight, so yeah, the tech skill is most definitely there, which is expected from the dude. But yo, it's 2010. The video is straight gutter, stock standard Hip Hop stuff, and to me, shit just makes me wanna turn it off. Maybe it's the grassroots angle that they're aiming at with the release, but on the real, Obese have cash behind em so they can invest a lil more in the video that will launch Mantra's solo album.
Anyway, check it out, song is dope, real keen for the album.
