Oz Hip Hop is poppin' hard right now (pause). Three dope MCs came together, put their solo stuff on hold for a second, formed a group and knocked out a fresh album that's making some serious noise. The fellas took the time to chat with me about the album and other assorted rap singer related nonsense. Peep game.

And it's here! After around a year or so in the making, Notion has finally dropped his third solo mixtape, 'On The Corner of Notion & 9th: A Tribute To 9th Wonder'. This 18 track opus sees Notion flex his skills entirely over various 9th Wonder productions from throughout his career, and the chemistry is palpable. The tape is proudly presented by The Movement Fam, Kevin Nottingham.com, Hip Hop Update.com and Peoples Republic of Clothing - we can't thank y'all enough for all your help and support with this project.
Y'all would have caught the first two leaks from the project, 'Mastermind' and 'Honey' featuring Cee & Bekah, but y'all might also remember 'Don't Rush Me' from the HiPNOTT Records compilation in early 2009.
Rolling through to help out Nosh on vocal duties are New Zealand's KB, Whisper, Theory, Micnificent and of course, Bekah, Tommy Gunnz and Cee.
You can download Notion's 'On The Corner of Notion & 9th: A Tribute To 9th Wonder' FREE right now! Spread the word!
Oh yes. On the eve of the release of his third mixtape, Notion just dropped the second leak, a collabo with fellow members of The Movement Fam, Cee & Bekah, over Erykah Badu's 'Honey'.
Make sure you grab the leak, and then hit up www.NotionBaby.com on Friday 20th August at either midnight East Coast USA time or 2pm Melbourne, Australia time to cop the full mixtape! Featuring collabs with Whisper, New Zealand's KB, Detect and The Movement Fam crew (Tommy Gunnz, Bekah, Cee, Theory and Micnificent), and every song is a 9th Wonder beat, in tribute to one of the greatest producers of our time.
Y'all might recall we recently posted the new project from A-Diction, Syntax and Whisper entitled In Good Company. That's some dope shit right there.
The homies have put together a video documenting the making of the project, with candid interviews, inside information and some funny moments. Really cool stuff, check it out.
Y'all might be familiar with the homies Whisper and A-Diction from various mentions on TheMovementFam.com, but alongside their boy Syntax, these fellas came together (pause) for a joint mixtape, In Good Company. Bang.
Check the official word on the project:
"Together the four musicians have created a bond that is reminiscent of some of the most note worthy groups in hip hop history, and featuring a stellar production line up consisting of M-Phazes, Mules (Choose Mics, Hyjak & Torcha), Ciecmate, Jsquared, Lewis One, ATP (Beatkamp Muzik) and Whisper, ‘In Good Company’ will do more than wet the whistles of the eager hip hop loving market, it will forge itself as the standard for all collaborative projects for years to come."
So while you're waiting for In Good Company to download, scroll up and check the fellas recent spot on 3RRR's Top Billin' show as they murder some mics.
Second last video - this one is from the kid Notion, featuring the big homie Whisper on 'New Wave' (from 'World Domi-NoTiOn'). Always a high energy joint and a crowd fave.
Oh and just so y'all know, The Movement Fam has a gig coming up supporting soul/funk group Impregnito's EP launch on Friday 23rd April at the Espy Gershwin Room. Get down there!
This is fucking brilliant. The big homie Whisper comes through with his latest video (not your debut, though, right?), 'Stand Up', featuring vocalist Lee Sissing and beats by M-Phazes. Great song, fresh clip...can't wait for this album!
Oh and if y'all ain't already know, check for Whisper on 'In Control' off Cee & Bekah's 'The Soul Movement Volume 3: The Final Chapter', on 'New Wave' off Notion's 'World Domi-NoTiOn' and on production for 'Anything For You' off Cee & Bekah's 'The Soul Movement Volume 2'.

Big ups to the homies at The Hip Hop Chronicle UK blog. This is a big ass blog in the UK, and they did a lil feature on The Fam, posting links to the two singles off our recent mixtapes - Notion's 'Enter My World' (produced by Da-Phai, from World Domi-NoTiOn), and Cee & Bekah's 'Anything For You' (produced by Whisper, from The Soul Movement Volume 2). Respect.
This is the beginning; there is much more to come.
'Melbourne City' was the first track I heard from Cee & Bekah after downloading the Soul Movement Vol. 1 mixtape off Planet Urban. I then hit up Cee and the rest......well that is history!!!
