I've personally been a huge fan for quite some time (damn, we still need to work together homie!), so I was vibed when Deez hit me about this new project. For the third year running, we're back with another installment in our Valentine's Day mixtape series, The Valentine's Day Mixtape Volume 3: Third Time's A Charm. We reckon this is our best volume yet. The tunes were carefully selected by myself, Notion, Infinite Archetype and Cyclops (thanks for the help, fellas!), and we really feel that it is a strong representation of The Fam's taste. We tried to choose tunes that would nicely soundtrack this year Valentine's Day for folks, as well as school y'all on some artists you may not have heard of, or at least expose y'all to some more obscure songs that you may not have come across.
We also included two exclusive tracks this year. Notion and TruStylz contributed their joint 'Still A Rose', a smooth, soulful cut that allows both MCs to shine, while Cee & Bekah hit y'all with 'Until Tonight', their version of Fab's 'Make Me Better', which was from The Soul Movement Volume 3 sessions and ended up here.

So the homie Emilio is back with his third full length tape in the last year or so, 'Life Without Shame' with DJ Green Lantern (and Travis Barker's label Famous Stars & Straps) again. This joint was recorded over a 2-3 week period in Atlanta with some great guests and production. I've only taken a quick listen thus far but from what I heard and saw at A3C in Atlanta recently, this shit is a heater. Cop that free, hit us with your thoughts!

Huge shouts to the homie Iyae for putting this one together. So most of y'all would have seen Kanye's 'Runaway' film by now, though in case you haven't...
So Iyae managed to put this little mini-project together by ripping the audio from the movie, as well as piecing together various parts of songs that have leaked, just so that y'all can enjoy a serious taste of Kanye's new album, 'My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy', before it drops on November 22nd. Isn't he a good bloke?
Mally recently dropped a new track from his upcoming project produced by The Sundance Kid. Every month on the 15th up until the release of the album he'll be releasing another song. The most recent track "Heir Time" shows Mally at his best, dropping bars upon bars with great flow and delivery. I also have to comment on the hard-hitting, soulful beat by The Sundance Kid. I'm not too familiar with his work but from what I've been hearing of his work with Mally I'm thoroughly impressed.

The first full length original project to be released from The Movement Fam has arrived in the form of Cee & Bekah's 'The Soul Movement Originals', the Soul Hop duo's debut compilation album consisting of all the original productions from their three volume 'The Soul Movement' mixtape series.
With every song expertly digitally mastered by Notion at Illnote studios, the music has been given a breath of fresh air and sounds totally different to how it sounded on the mixtapes.
Featuring production from the likes of Styalz Fuego, Revelino, Whisper, Da-Phai and Mack Sitty, internationals G.C. (USA), Laudzbeatz (Brazil), KrisblaiR (Canada), Beat Chemist (Canada), Fly Cobb (USA), and cuts from The Movement Fam's own Infinite Archetype (aka Iyae) and Notion's production debut on 'Get It Right'.
Guests include The Movement Fam's Tommy Gunnz and Notion, Canada's soulstress Jessica Kaya, Professor Digi aka KrisblaiR, and special collaborations with The Hall of Justus' Cesar Comanche and California's The Understudies crew (recorded in Oakland).
'The Soul Movement Originals' really encapsulates the unique soulful sound that Cee & Bekah have created since their first release in 2007, and is a brilliant summary of both their past and future.

This 18 track opus sees Notion flex his skills entirely over various 9th Wonder productions from throughout his career, and the chemistry is palpable. The tape is proudly presented by The Movement Fam, Kevin Nottingham.com, Hip Hop Update.com and Peoples Republic of Clothing - we can't thank y'all enough for all your help and support with this project.
Y'all would have caught the first two leaks from the project, 'Mastermind' and 'Honey' featuring Cee & Bekah, but y'all might also remember 'Don't Rush Me' from the HiPNOTT Records compilation in early 2009.
