Bless y'all,
We don't know about you guys, but we've been bugging out at how fast this year has flown by. It's been a huge one for us, the biggest yet in fact, and we're stupid excited for 2015.
Notion has been a busy man in 2014 - dropping videos for singles 'Young & Crazy' and 'Lift Up (Remix)', and featuring in the visual for Cee & Dr. MaD's 'Another Day' (original and the Fresh Kils Remix); mixing, mastering and featuring on Cee's internationally charting debut album 'This Is All I Know'; hitting up three Canadian tours (The Golden Tour with Relic, Ghettosocks & Fresh Kils; The Palmer Squares debut Canadian Tour; The Bodega Brovas debut Canadian Tour); and opening for heavy hitters like Jeru Tha Damaja, Hilltop Hoods and Black Milk. However, he's been relatively quiet on the new music tip since dropping his debut EP 'Pride On My Cufflinks' back in December 2013.
Until now, that is. 2015 is looking to be large for Notion, with the arrival of his debut album 'Heart On My Sleeve Music' scheduled for the second quarter, along with an EP of both new and classics tunes recorded over live acoustic guitar. One song that will appear on both projects is 'Out The Basement' (also the title of the EP), featuring with guitarist Derek Kelly; a soulful, catchy, brutally honest jam that truly captures the essence of Notion as an artist and as a man. "Money makin', no mistakin', we gonna take it to the top from comin' out the basement," Notion postively proclaims in the hook.
Stream 'Out The Basement' via SoundCloud - and if you're feeling what you're hearing, we very much appreciate any social or blog shares!
Notion, along with his brother Cee, were blessed to be interviewed on V-Mix on OMNI, a Canada-wide TV network last month. You can check the interview below!

Thank you to everyone for all the support. It truly means a lot. Bless.
Much love,
