Mick Boogie & Terry Urban - Le Da Soul mixtape

The homies Mick Boogie & Terry Urban don't quit. They just came out with their latest project, a De La tribute...peep the info...

"Inspired by 20 years of greatness from hip-hop’s most consistent group, De La Soul, this project unites the cream of the crop in hiphop… including old school legends (Phife, Camp Lo and Skillz), current hitmakers (Talib Kweli and Kardinal Offishall) and future stars (U-N-I, Tanya Morgan, Tabi Bonney) to remake their favorite De La classics."

Cee & Bekah - The Soul Movement Volume 3: The Final Chapter OUT NOW!

Cee & Bekah - The Soul Movement Volume 3: The Final Chapter

So it's here. Finally. Over a year's worth of work has culminated in Cee & Bekah's third and final mixtape (before venturing into EP's, albums and wherever else their musical journey takes them), 'The Soul Movement Volume 3: The Final Chapter'.

After working with the biggest names in Australia on their last mixtapes, there was nowhere left to go but the USA. Cee & Bekah linked up with Mick Boogie and Terry Urban, respected American DJs who have produced, mixed and hosted official mixtapes for the likes of Kanye West, Little Brother, Skyzoo and Idle Warship (Talib Kweli, Res, Graph Nobel), and critically acclaimed mash up mixtapes with Adele and Jay-Z/Coldplay.

This is our first release since being signed to Miami, FL based blogger Kevin Nottingham's label, HiPNOTT Records, so this is a very exciting time for The Movement Fam.

'The Soul Movement Volume 3: The Final Chapter' is a landmark release for Australian 'urban' artists (a term Cee & Bekah don't like to use, as they coined their own genre, 'Soul Hop'), as no other artist in this genre has even attempted a mixtape of this scope, let alone made it happen.

Download the mixtape for FREE from Cee & Bekah's Bandcamp page, and grab a copy of Volume 1 and 2 if you haven't already.

The Movement is here!

Aight y'all...it's nearly here. The final leak from 'The Soul Movement Volume 3' is an original joint. 'Say', produced by the homie Infinite Archetype outta Perth, is a smooth, soulful cut that really summarizes our sound.

Oh, we just keep on giving. It's Christmas up in this bitch. Freebies all day, son. ONE WEEK TIL THE MIXTAPE DROPS!

"We are just one week away from the official release of Cee & Bekah’s Soul Movement Volume 3, hosted by Mick Boogie and Terry Urban. This is the third (and best) of the Soul Movement series and the first being sponsored by my label, HiPNOTT Records.

For the next leak, we bring you “Too Dope,” featuring The Understudies from the San Fransisco Bay area. If the beat sounds familiar, it should, as they go in over the Black Milk banger “Motown 25″ (originally done by Elzhi and Royce Da 5′9).

So check out what everyone Down Under is raving about… and check out their updated profile page at hipnottrecords.com where you can also download the first two volumes of the Soul Movement series.

Cee & Bekah - Can't Get Enough (The Soul Movement Volume 3 leak)

Cee & Bekah

I can't believe I didn't post this last week. I'm slippin'.

The homie Kev leaked our second joint from 'The Soul Movement Volume 3' last week, called 'Can't Get Enough' (produced by K-Os, over his 'Love Song' joint) and a few other blogs picked it up (see below), which was great to see.

Check it out on Kevin Nottingham's blog. So it seems we're dropping the news that none other than Mick Boogie and Terry Urban are mixing our new joint, which is fucking huge to say the least. And it's dropping through HiPNOTT Records, followed closely by The Soul Movement Originals, an album of all our original beats from The Soul Movement mixtape series (as Volume 3 is the final drop).

Adele in 1988?

Mick Boogie & Adele - 1988

1988 was the realest year in history. So where were you?

We all know where Mick Boogie was. Conceptualizing this remix album, that's where.

UK soulstress Adele, whose album '19' was definitely one of my favourite albums this year hands down, has been gratuitously remixed by Mick Boogie and friends, utilising Hip Hop classics from 1988 - and it works.

Celebrity blogger Perez Hilton even enjoyed it.

As opposed to just a mashup, it's a full remix LP that even includes dope guest spots from cats like Nalege (of Kidz In The Hall) and Big Pooh (Little Brother). Here's the tracklisting:

1) Chasing 1988: The Intro (f/ 6th Sense)
2) Day Dreams (nVMe Remix)
3) Tired (6th Sense Remix)
4) First Love (Remot Remix f/ Naledge)
5) My Same (Garbs Infinite Remix)
6) Melt My Heart To Stone (Kickdrums Remix f/ Big Pooh)
7) Cold Shoulder (Garbs Infinite Remix)
8) Right As Rain (nVMe Remix)
9) Make You Feel My Love (Remot Remix)

Shouts to my man Remot for landing two remixes on here, and of course, much love to his manager Sean Deez, the homie for real. Look out for Remot's work on upcoming The Movement Fam projects.
