The Movement Fam LIVE @ The Evelyn Hotel free mixtape

For those of y'all who have signed up to The Movement Fam eNewsletter (take a look to your right to get on that), y'all should already have downloaded the exclusive pre-release for our live mixtape, which we recorded at The Evelyn Hotel back in March. And now we're finally droppin' this thang.

This gig was our first live set in over a year, so it was a solid return to the stage for the whole Fam, and we decided to record it; and I'm really glad we did. We're truly happy with this project, expertly EQ'd by Notion, as it's a great reflection of where we're at musically right now, plus it's extra poignant as myself, Bekah and Notion are about to shoot off to Canada so this line up may not happen for a while after our goodbye gig.

So head on over to the new The Movement Fam Bandcamp page (shouts to Iyae for the dope header image) and cop the tape, as well as our older crew mixtapes such as The Valentine's Day series, our Kevin Nottingham Remix album and more.

Hustle Beats - Borderline Vol 2 Mixed by VJ K.M.X.E.

PHustle Beats - Borderline Vol 2 Mixed by VJ K.M.X.E.

The big homie Hustle Beats has been a big supporter of The Movement Fam from the jump. Coming out of Sydney, by way of Toronto, Canada, my dude is a talented producer, blogger and straight up hustler, and his grind is definitely something to admire.

Hustle has released a gang of mixtapes when he was in TO, and from what I understand this is the first disc that he's released out of Australia (homie, correct me if I'm wrong!). Y'all might have caught our single from the tape, 'Livin' This Life' with the other big homie from TO, Theology3, which we dropped a month or two back.

Finally, the tape, entirely produced by Hustle, dropped today and y'all can cop it below for free. Eighteen tracks, MCs and vocalists from all over the globe - y'all can't go wrong.

Make sure you roll past my dude's blog, iHustle Daily, and say what up!

A-Diction + Syntax + Whisper on Top Billin 3RRR (download + video)

Y'all might be familiar with the homies Whisper and A-Diction from various mentions on TheMovementFam.com, but alongside their boy Syntax, these fellas came together (pause) for a joint mixtape, In Good Company. Bang.

Check the official word on the project:

"Together the four musicians have created a bond that is reminiscent of some of the most note worthy groups in hip hop history, and featuring a stellar production line up consisting of M-Phazes, Mules (Choose Mics, Hyjak & Torcha), Ciecmate, Jsquared, Lewis One, ATP (Beatkamp Muzik) and Whisper, ‘In Good Company’ will do more than wet the whistles of the eager hip hop loving market, it will forge itself as the standard for all collaborative projects for years to come."

So while you're waiting for In Good Company to download, scroll up and check the fellas recent spot on 3RRR's Top Billin' show as they murder some mics.

Tony Williams talks on the Finding Dakota Grey Mixtape

The homie Tony Williams, first cousins with Kanye West, is about to drop a mixtape entitled 'Finding Dakota Williams'. Y'all may know Tony from Kanye's recent tours, plus he's been the main voice behind the majority of 'Ye's tracks over the years. Plus, y'all might even know him from the recent collaboration with Cee & Bekah on the remix of his single 'Dreaming Of Your Love'. Can't wait for this one!

The Leftovers Unmixedtape :: eLZhi

For a free release of supposed 'leftovers' this is better than 90% of releases in 09'! Not much needs to be said of El's first class lyricism, but look out for some very nice beats by the Black Milk, Jake One and DJ Dez. Nice to see DJ Spinna back on the production credits too!

Listen for the dope electric guitar sample utilised by Oh No on 'The Great'

Esscay - The Movember Mixtape

The big homie Esscay has just released his sophomore mixtape, entitled 'The Movember Mixtape' in support of the prostate cancer/depression charity that runs throughout the world in November every year. Big ups on your charity game, son.

So this is his latest work since 2006's 'Training Day Mixtape', which is a classic in my eyes (and not coz I was on it lol). Ess done got out the Antares Autotune for this bitch and murked the shit out of it. This is his first project entirely solo, doing everything from recording, mixing to promoting it, so huge props for taking on that responsibility.

The Movement Fam's own Micnificent even makes an appearance on 'Say Nothin' too. Fucking real.

Head down to Esscay.com and download this bitch right now! It'll change your life! And donate to the Movemeber cause while you're there!!

Cee & Bekah - The Soul Movement Volume 3: The Final Chapter OUT NOW!

Cee & Bekah - The Soul Movement Volume 3: The Final Chapter

So it's here. Finally. Over a year's worth of work has culminated in Cee & Bekah's third and final mixtape (before venturing into EP's, albums and wherever else their musical journey takes them), 'The Soul Movement Volume 3: The Final Chapter'.

After working with the biggest names in Australia on their last mixtapes, there was nowhere left to go but the USA. Cee & Bekah linked up with Mick Boogie and Terry Urban, respected American DJs who have produced, mixed and hosted official mixtapes for the likes of Kanye West, Little Brother, Skyzoo and Idle Warship (Talib Kweli, Res, Graph Nobel), and critically acclaimed mash up mixtapes with Adele and Jay-Z/Coldplay.

This is our first release since being signed to Miami, FL based blogger Kevin Nottingham's label, HiPNOTT Records, so this is a very exciting time for The Movement Fam.

'The Soul Movement Volume 3: The Final Chapter' is a landmark release for Australian 'urban' artists (a term Cee & Bekah don't like to use, as they coined their own genre, 'Soul Hop'), as no other artist in this genre has even attempted a mixtape of this scope, let alone made it happen.

Download the mixtape for FREE from Cee & Bekah's Bandcamp page, and grab a copy of Volume 1 and 2 if you haven't already.

The Movement is here!

What up fam?

Y'all BEEN not heard the last of HiPNOTT this month. The homie Nobody Famous just dropped a mixtape to support his album launch at the end of the month. Check the blurb below from Kevin Nottingham and cop that!

Allow me to share with you a free mixtape, in promotion of Nobody Famous' upcoming release, Order Up! Vol 3: Chicken & Waffles. Please feel free to disseminate and post on your respective blogs. Thank you in advance for your support!

Coming out of L.A. by way of the ATL, Nobody Famous is about to embark on a journey to stardom. With two volumes of his Order Up! series under his belt and countless other productions locked away in his vault, he is about to release his best work to date -- Order Up! Vol 3: Chicken & Waffles. Producing all of his own material, as well as tracks for Dasha, Wax, Jarell Perry, Justin Figueroa, Chris Young and many others, Nobody Famous is on his way to building a small empire.
