Notion's debut album "Heart On My Sleeve" dropped back in April with a bang, and while he already dropped four visuals from the project ("Holdin' Hands", "Remember Me?" and "Goin' For Gold", plus the "Spaceman" lyric video), the Toronto via Australia MC is back with his latest opus in the haunting "Hurt".

Once again helmed by King Richard with assistance from 9 Block Productions, "Hurt" follows the four MCs through a dusty Quebec summer, with Notion commandeering a beat up vehicle picking up hitchhiking rappers while they all speak their truth about the pain in their respective lives. Jonathan Emile's moving, reggae-infused hook paves the way for reality bars over Myer Clarity's sample-laden, boom bap production.

Cee has been on quite the run in 2017 (pun intended), and his 9th single this year comes in the form of another collaboration with producer and MC, Myer Clarity, in "Terry Fox". This latest collab is a premonition of what's to come from the "Relentless" album the two have been working on for the past few years.

Taking inspiration from modern rap songs that use a celebrity's name in the title, Canadian legend Terry Fox's epic run across (most of) the country in the 1980s is the perfect Hip Hop metaphor for, well, running things. New Canadian Cee (he recently obtained his Permanent Residency) and Myer trade witty bars and punchlines over Myer's synth-heavy production, with a memorable hook bookending the verses, a throwback glitchy section in the third act and some distorted guitar from regular collaborator Jon Rosner round out the vibes.
