THANK YOU!
Two weeks ago, we let y'all know about Cee's debut album 'This Is All I Know', which was going up for Pre-Order on iTunes with the goal to hit the Top 100 Hip Hop Albums charts. We had a multitude of blog posts, social media shares and of course, purchases, that took the album to #6 in the Canadian Hip Hop Charts and #8 in the Australian Hip Hop charts - JUST off the Pre-Order! We also hit #92 in the Overall Canadian charts, and #66 in the Overall Australian charts. So thank you all for your amazing support!
If you didn't catch the last blast, the project specific details are listed below. DJBooth.net had a successful full day album listening session on Wednesday April 9th, and the Editor's Pick 'Do Ya Hear Me?' reached #18 in their Indie Hip Hop Charts on the first week in. The people are liking what they're hearing, and they're letting the world know.
The journey doesn't end here, however. Today, Thursday April 10th (Cee's birthday), his album is officially released worldwide. The first week sales contribute to the final chart figure, and as vague as iTunes are with their numbers, the team and our supporters are vigilantly checking to catch the highest position. So we still need all the support we can get! Give Cee the best birthday gift ever - a debut #1 charting album!
Any help spreading the word via your respective blogs, channels and social networks is immensely appreciated! We want to show the world that with little to no money and a lot of creativity, anything can be achieved. "Ballers, I put numbers on the boards."
"For those who aren't familiar, Cee is an MC from Melbourne, Australia, now residing in Montreal. Along with his brother Notion, the boys moved out to Canada after being signed to blogger Kevin Nottingham's HiPNOTT Records to pursue their dreams in rap. With three and a half years of building up north on the resumé, Cee is finally ready to drop his debut LP 'This Is All I Know'.
The album credits read like a who's who of Hip Hop - an extraordinarily impressive lineup put together by a kid from Australia, and on his debut album no less. Production comes courtesy of the Grammy nominee Illmind (Kanye West, 50 Cent, Eminem), Hezekiah (The Roots, Bilal), the multi-platinum ARIA winning Aussie Styalz Fuego (360, Busta Rhymes, Snoop Dogg), Germany's Shuko (Blu, R.A. The Rugged Man), Australian stalwart Jase, Alaiz's Dr. MaD and more. As far as the features? Ras Kass, Emilio Rojas, Hezekiah, two-time Grammy nominee Jonathan Emile, The Movement Fam's Notion, Chaundon (Little Brother), Toronto soulstress Aria Zenua, T-Dot's iLLvibe...you get the picture."
