According to Wikipedia, "Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, and is observed by Muslims worldwide as a month of fasting to commemorate the first revelation of the Quran to Muhammad according to Islamic belief." Ramadan begins today in most countries.

The idea of fasting is related to discipline and giving something up for a cause greater than yourself; Cee, along with his brother Notion, gave up their lives in Australia to pursue their dreams through music in North America, and it's upon this sentiment that Cee's new single is based.

A dark, haunting mood is elicited in the eerie production (courtesy of Jonathan Emile, Billist and Juda), with 808 drums syncopating every syllable throughout, as the hook chants:

"So we living in Babylon / Road blocked but we travel on

Hit a groove and now we movin' like the Autobahn / So they finna give it up like it's Ramadan."

With no direct references to religion or Islam, 'Ramadan' is truly about respect, perseverance and submission to something greater than ones self. In a world full conflict, contradictions and moral challenges, moments of reflection and pause underline what we all can be grateful for.
