'My Music' is a heartfelt, soulful banger with a hook that won't get out of your head. Notion speaks on his struggles, his coping mechanisms, his dreams and mostly his passion for music. What better way to prepare y'all for 'Pride On My Cufflinks', his first full length release, coming later this year.
The Movement Fam proudly presents Notion's debut music video for 'So Cold'. Directed and shot by Andrew Pierce in Toronto, Canada, shouts to the homies Eric, Ian and Jesse for making it happen, and much love to Shauna and Tiff (our lovely ladies). Y'all can cop the audio of the song free on Notion's Bandcamp.
"What better way to wrap up 2012 (the world might even end tomorrow, who knows?) than to drop an original track for y'all? This song was originally written and recorded in 2007 for my boy's compilation album. It kinda kicked around since then; I tried to finish it a few times, it just never worked. Until now. Weapon X is prolly my favourite MC out of Australia, and one of my biggest inspirations, so it was a blessing to work with dude. Stoked that it came out how it did. Enjoy." I've done a couple joints with the homie outta the UK, FlamesYall. He hit me with a joint for his new sex-themed EP, and I done fucked it up by not adhering to the topic. This kinda worked to our advantage, as now we have a single and a feature on the HipHopSpeakEasy.com Hurricane Sandy mixtape. Take a listen to the tune on FlamesYall's SoundCloud, and huge shouts to Worgie and Daryl S. Tattoo for the ridiculously dope guitar, and Notion for the mix/extra production. We got a joint on our hands, here...
Ah yeah. I STAYS late, pimp. This is my September joint. It was from the Cee & Bekah 'The Soul Movement Volume 3' sessions, but we ran out of room on the tape for it. I really wanted to find a way to get it out, so this seemed like the perfect fit. 'The College Dropout' is one of my favourite and most influential albums of all time, so I had to go in on this one.

HUGE shouts to the most prolific MC I know, GNZ, fresh outta Brazil, for adding our collab 'Free' to this latest album, also entitled 'Free'.

So the big homie Chaundon (Hall of Justus) has recently dropped a double mixtape, entitled 'Black Dynamite'. Haven't copped it yet but I've heard it's nuts. So peep the video after the jump, dude is running a competition, the likes of which I've never seen before in the Hip Hop world. The 5000th customer to cop 'Black Dynamite' gets $1000, the person who referred them gets $1000 as well. Same deal for the 10,000th follower of his new blog and the referrer.
I dont really need to say much here, just OH. MY. GOD. Once again our dude from Inverse, Tunji, has blessed all of our ears again with yet another incredible freestyle for www.vimeo.com.
Tunji NEW CLASSICS freestyle from gregthedude on Vimeo.
Just watch it and admire.
MAKE SURE YOU COP THE "SO TRUE - EP" by "Inverse". Dope x10.

Aight, two of the most anticipated albums this year (as noted yesterday by Notion) are those by Eminem and 50 Cent. So, thanks to the good folks in blog world, we have links to a new track from each album, so y'all can decide for yourself whether it's finna be hot or a pile of shit.
Eminem feat. Dr. Dre and 50 Cent - Crack A Bottle
50 Cent - I Get It In (produced by Dr. Dre)
Personally, I think both tracks are pretty decent. The Em track grew on me after a number of listens...the 50 one is just straight up, classic 50. I've read that folks felt he is as hungry as he was in his debut here, but I dunno about that...hit a comment with your thoughts, folks...
